Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

Here it is :

So today, I’ll speak about the last game of Activision on Call of Duty: COD Modern Warfare 3…
And… well I could resume the test in 2 lines, but I will make a real test!
So that last COD takes place just after the end of MW2 in the history (I’ll speak of the multiplayer later).
On that point, Infinity Ward is as good as expected; they gave us a really good and explosive story like for the first two games. But as they always do, a bit short (between 6 and 10 hours in the hardest difficulty). But completed by the Spec Ops mode with the mission mode and the survival.

The mission mode is the same that in the second one: you have to complete some objectives in map that you’ve already seen in the story.
I will take more about the survival mode. Treyarch made the zombie one, so IW wanted HIS survival, and replace just the zombies by soldiers. So you spawn in a map, and then you have to survive until the soldiers kill you in the highest wave you could reach… first thing you can only play two, you don’t have to pay to go in other zones because there ARE NO other zones, but you can ask for some skills, or support, and you can upgrade weapons (more or less) as you like. You can also play in all the multiplayer map.

While we’re on multiplayer, let me explain how it is.
First, they’ve added one mode, and decline other ones. In that new mode, called “elimination confirmed”, once you’ve killed an enemy, you have to run to his body to take a badge to “confirmed” the elimination… I find that a bit stupid, but why not.
But the biggest additions concern the skills… or how you GET them.
You have now 3 ways to play:
- The first and well-known one: you have to make kill streak before someone kill you and so have a support
-The second-one: Even if you die, your kill streak continue (but you can’t have all the support that you have in the first one
-The third and last-one: Making kill streak give you skills and not support.
So all that seem not too bad, but in fact the second and third one are just cheat because with the second one you have same skills that in first but some have been removed, but the one IN are enough good to kill everyone in the other team…. So I think they should have done OTHERS skills, some player-support like medikit and not ATTACK support.
With the third one you can become the ultimate soldier, and be practically invulnerable. But this one is great.
So first black point in the multiplayer: the second way to play.
Second black-point: WHERE ARE NEW WEAPONS ?!
Third one: maps…they have all the same size, and none of them are as good as MW2… I just talk about the basic one.
Fourth one: Network bug… servers are so slow….
But what really exasperates me is the graphic engine : since MW1, it’s the same… they always add some improvements to it, but just compare it to the games that released at the same time, or Just to Battlefield 3… is it really complicated for them to take a best graphic engine ? we don’t ask for another  BF3, but just better graphics…

So, for COD: MW3, it will be a… 6.5/10

Hoping for a best COD : Black OPS 2…but not too much…
