TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 Wii U Edition Review (WARNING! Spoiler Alerts)

All New characters, Special Features, and ALL NEW STAGES!
Yes, the new tournament of IRON FISTS is here for the Wii U and STACKS UP AGAINST the original version for the PS3 and XBox 360.

To start off, let's say the Arcade Mode. You can choose to Tag-Up or Solo-through the 9 stages you play in. The first 6 are random CPUs you play against. By Stage 7, you fight off against Jinpachi (yes, he's back) and Heihachi Mishima. Beat both and you move on. That leaves you with 4 rounds left to win. The Final Stage shows you the Heavenly Garden (an all new stage) with you facing Jun Kazama (Her backstory this time says Jin's Mother... or maybe she was just a mother the whole time). Beat her once and (it gets ugly) her dark side appears and the opposite of Heavenly Garden appears. Yep, her new dark-side is returning character Unknown (which you can unlock if you beat Unknown) and Jun's new form has all her original moves along with all her new-found powers.

The true difference is that it features Mushroom Battle (a mode that changes your size at random times) and the returning Tekken Ball (Unseen since Tekken 3). Now the only downside is the HEAVENLY GARDEN MUSIC. It is not only high-pitched like Lavender Town, but the song gets stuck in your head by Round 3 or by the 3 minute mark.

You can do whatever you want, I like to keep this open, I just don't want scratch games reviewed, thats my only rule. Plus thanks for a WII U game review, that should get to the front cover.

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

Press START to Play!

Shows that should be Games:
Ninjago= TT should've done this as a game before the new world of CHIMA came around. They still have time to do it!
Scan2Go= I don't know who would make such an epic game based on the show, but it better be created because I'm waiting for it.
Digimon Rumble Arena 3= WHY was this not created?! We now have Data Squad and Xros Wars ready to rumble with Agumon and his friends!

Games based on GAMES:
Project Cars= A Gran Turismo, Formula 1 styled game coming soon for the Wii U. Fans of Game Informer might have read a bit about it's release!
NFS Most Wanted= Compare this to Burnout Paradise, it is a monster BASED ON game from EA and CRITERION GAMES.
Shift 2= A Sequal to Shift 1. Why'd I post this part?

All I can put today. More next week (or the next one) !

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

The 8th Generation

It has been 8 years since the 7th generation of consoles began, with the launch of the Xbox 360 in 2005. This generation has been the longest ever. So this year, the next-gen consoles are expected announced and maybe released.

Firstly, however, is the Wii U which was released in November of last year. 2013, despite the possible next-gen offerings from Microsoft and Sony, is going to be a massive year for the Wii U. This is when it show its prowess, with many potentially amazing games coming out this year. Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101 and a new game from Monolith Soft (the creators of Xenoblade Chronicles, so possible a sequel) all heavily anticipated for their release. Also, we hope to see the new Mario (and Kart), Zelda and Smash Bros. games, as Nintendo recently announced that we will be seeing these games, at E3 in June. Also announced recently was an HD remake of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Normally, I think that HD remakes are not necessary, but considering that it came out 10 years ago, on a console 2 generations previously, it makes some sense.

Little is known about the 'Xbox 720' and the 'PS4'. Some information has been leaked but this is very little information to go by. A widely accepted theory is that the new consoles will be announced at GDC, and then E3 will have a focus on games for the new systems. After this, a October/November release date seems viable, though they may not be released until net year. Another big topic is what kind of specs the systems will have. As times are hard financially, there is likely not to be a large leap in power (as there was from PS2 to PS3, for example). This would mean that they would not be a lot more powerful than the Wii U. It seems that motion controls (i.e. Kinect and PS Move) will have a part to play in these new systems, to appeal to the 'casual game', thus selling more consoles; making more money.

2013 is going to be a huge year, with the Wii U's first full year and the prospect of new consoles from Microsoft and Sony. Keep reading Scratch Gamer Magazine for the latest gaming news, reviews and gossip.

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

Mario Kart 7 review:

This game was released on the 3DS in 2011 and is still one of the top selling 3DS games.
It had new tracks, yet another epic version of Rainbow Road, and of course the old retro tracks. It had some new characters, though not as muck a Mario kart Wii. You could use the new "Gyro controls" to race, or use the Circle Pad to race. In 3D, the game was amazing. It also had new items, like the Fire Flower(Finally), the Raccoon power-up, and The Lucky 7, which allowed you to use SEVEN items at once. I still prefer the Bullet Bill though.
The gameplay and graphics were great, with simple controls, excellent graphics, and even online multiplayer, which helped me get over 300+ Streetpass Miis in my Streetpass plaza. You could challenge your friends time trial records to beat them and view ghost races against opponents close to your ranking on time trials. Think of it as a regular race.
Lastly, i will review the Battle mode. You had a choice of Balloon runner or the coin Free-for-all. It had the Mario kart 64's Big Donut track as one of the retro choices.
Also it had some cool new maps. You have all the regular items, driving around the track, looking for a shot to hit your opponents with your items. I found that the red shell and the triple green shell were the best choice.
If you are a 3DS owner, and you don't have this game, the next time you go to Gamestop or whatever, this is a good game to consider buying. It is a Awesome game! 9.7/10
