Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

Could you put an ad page up for one of my games?
We've worked real hard on a game and its fairly polished.
http://cryptids.tk/ The game is free as of our last update, because we have much bigger games coming that I may give out a licence for someone to review, as me reviewing it would be biased.  tongue

Gameplay
So you a truck racing another truck that never moves. You can go in super speed if you drive in circles and stop instantly. You could drive though everything and drive up slopes no matter what!

Graphics
2003 N64 had better graphics.

Plot
There was none!

Controls
Arror keys only.

Music.
A ten second techno beat. I had to mute my Pc because of annoyance.

Level's
All boring. One crashed everytime i loaded it.

1/10 Super-man 64 was better. Don't play this game, stay away from it! I love the winning screen though. YOU"RE WINNER!

Thank thy.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
By GameGuy64

This is Minecraft. On Microsoft's Xbox 360. If you don't know what Minecraft is, it is a opne-(randomly generated)world, mine/craft/build/survive-em-up. It is not just a port from the PC. Firstly, when you spawn in a world, you have a map. The crafting interface is simpler; you do not have to know the recipe in order to craft, as long as you have the right materials. Multiplayer also works differently. You join others' worlds, rather than connecting to a server (which could have multiple worlds). This makes it much easier to play with your friends and host your own 'server'. There is no 'singleplayer' as you can invite friends onto your 'singleplayer' worlds.

The Xbox 360 edition currently has all the features of the PC version 1.8 Beta, so it does not have the same features as the current PC update (1.4.6.) On the PC version, you can use any .png file as your skin, for free. However, on the Xbox 360, you either have the default 'Steve' skin, use a small collection of free skins, or pay for skins. Many people have said that 'mods and texture packs could be coming to the Xbox 360 edition'. I think, however, that this will not happen as, firstly, they may as well add it to the game themselves, so modding wouldn't need to happen- as well as the fact that mods would have to be adapted to work, and, 4J Studios  would have to get permission from the Texture pack authors, and then put it through Microsoft. Also, the price of texture packs would be quite a lot, considering the size of them. Getting mods and texture packs to work would take a lot of time, effort, and most importantly, money, to do.

Modding aside, it is still the Minecraft that many love, and it will continue to update, adding more features of the PC version (e.g. the End). A last note is that, after playing the PC version, the controls feel clunky and slow, though I did get use to it after a while.

+Minecraft
+Easy to play with friends
-Not all of the features
-Modding (not likely)
-Slow, less accurate controls

8/10

Wow, that was a long review XD

Also: Minecraft has been reviewed. It is the same over all platforms and I don't believe we need it reviewed again.

@Gameguy64 up the sensitivity, its almost like standard FPS.

You are going to back down because of others. You really shouldn't do that, you did just prove them wrong. I thought your review was good and you deserve people to read it and comment on it(even if some are bad, prove them wrong, tell them who is smarter...).

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

Mega man 5 review:

Gameplay: The story starts when Dr. Wilys robot master, Protoman, kidnaps Dr. Light,
so once again mega man has too fight Dr. Wily's 8 robot masters. The Robot Masters and their levels are excellent, each with their own challenge. The robot master fights are awesome. The easiest in my opinion is Gravity Man, and the most challenging is Charge Man. Then, after defeating all the robot masters, you go to Protoman's fortress and beat him, then moving on to Dr. wily's evil lair. The hardest boss in the game has to be the Wily Press, which is a huge, annoying flying saucer that drops down and takes up half the screen.

Graphics: For a NES game, the graphics were great, and had great animation.

Music: Not the best, but decent enough to make it enjoyable.

Score: 8.7/10. Overall a great game, worth playing. (You can download on Wii Vitual Console.)

PC isn't a gaming console  tongue  But it counts. Stor, change that.

I'm going to review: Intrusion 2

And I have have some ideas. For each game I think we should tell people which platform it is on, the developer, release date, and where you can buy the game.
Also, I would like to write a segment showcasing a free-game, if that's all right

Edit: And I also just realised that i'm not listed as reviewer  tongue

My review on an old video game won't be in today since I need some time to work on it.

P.S.: Don't ask. I was on FL Studio 10 Demo Version.

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

I have a few games I would review, but I don't have a NES anymore. If you can play any of these, its worth reviewing them.

Metal Gear
Kid Icarus
The Legend of Zelda - This game basically started the RPG genre. Worth going into.
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Rygar

No, Megaman 2 is the best by far, with Megaman 3 being a solid second best.
