Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

I don't think so. Video Game Developers assume we're dumb and have made games so easy. Compare megaman and a game like Assassins Creed. Also watch sequelitis: here GUYS ITS A LANGUAGE WARNING. DEAL WITH IT.

I've put it all together, we just need Gameguy64's review of Hit & Run. If it dosent turn up, I'll just upload the mag on friday anyway. We don't particually need anything more for the mag, I've done my article and review, just need to put gamer news together. I'm leaving now, see you later.

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a GTA-style game set in The Simpsons Universe. It is the spiritual successor to The Simpsons: Road Rage; both games were made by Radical Studios. You go through 7 levels, each with 7 story missions and other side-challenges. There are 3 different areas of Springfield, but in each level, you visit them at different times of day with a different character. The story, as you may expect from a Simpsons game, is quite whacky, with each character having there own plotline, each inter-linking. The last level [spoiler alert] is Springfield (on Halloween) filled with Zombies, due to Buzz Cola. The map seems small, each in a loop, meaning there are no dead ends. All 3 maps put together probably wouldn't match the size of GTA III's map (which elements were borrowed)

It's a fun game, with missions and many collectables, but Springfields seems small

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

The mag is ready for tomorrows upload! 15 pages this issue!  smile

About christmas, I looked at my calender and decided to have next week off, no mag. However as soon as I get home on Saturday 29th, we can start work and have an issue out in two weeks time.

You can still submit reviews and articles, but there will not be an issue next week. I will be around until Christmas Eve and will be back on the 29th. Can you please tell me if you will be away at any points or whatnot.

Thanks.

Also: Here in the British time-zone, it's about one P.M. But we had a half-day at school so I'm home early.

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

During my 13 hour car trip (It shouldve been 6 hours but our car kept overheating) I thoght of many things that could benefit SGM.

1: Website, If we have a website, we can make the articles and post them there for our staff to look over it.

2: PNG, As you discovered recently, stor, PNG > JPEG

3: Requests, at the end of each magazine we should have a page saying "Want A Certain Review? Requests are open!" Our fan base may grow because people get what they want.

4: We need to set a standard for articles. EG, >100 Words

Let me know what you think.

I think a websit is going a little too far, collab websites never work out. But I like the rest of your ideas, I'll have a think about them now.

Re: Scratch Gamer Magazine-Now Hiring

CREEPY STORY WARNING!!

Pokémon Black - Pokémon Red Hack

Pokémon, a well known and loved franchise owned by nintendo. With all the official games, people wanted to hack them and make their own versions of pokémon. Games like Pokemon Diamond (GB) and Pokemon Quartz (GBA) are prime examples of this. Though one day someone found a cart of a hacked pokémon game like no other.

The game is often described as "super creepy", though that is an understatement. Because of an official Pokemon Black being made, we will refer to the game as Creepy Black from now on. Everything about the start of the game is the same ecept for one thing on the title. The pokémon standing next to you is missing and instead of Red Version it says Black Version.

The game seems the same until you get your starter. When you pick your starter, you recieve a level 1 "GHOST" instead. It uses the sprite of ghosts in the lavender tower when you dont have the silph scope. The pokémon's only move is curse, and when it is used the screen goes black, the pokémons cry is heard, and when the screen reappears the pokémon is gone, as if it were never there.

After a trainer gives you money for winning the battle, you get the option to fight or run. You can run, or chose to fight, which KILLS the trainer. Then on the overworld it shows a grave instead of the trainers sprite for the rest of the game.

You can't deposit GHOST into the PC, You can't kill recurring trainers, though you can if it is the last time you battle them.

Once you fly through the game and the elite four with the GHOST, you enter the hall of fame and see GHOST, then the screen goes black...

The screen then displays text saying "Many years later...". You are in lavender town as an old man. You have no pokémon and ghost is gone. The creepy Lavender Town music loops endlessly. Digletts cave is clear and the tree in viridian forest is always cut so you can access pallet town. When you arrive at the tile where you started the game, the screen shows all the pokémon and trainers you used curse on, until finally, ghost fights you.

You cannot run and you can only use struggle. You hit yourself with the attack, though ghost isnt effected. When it is ghosts turn it just shows "..." and you go again. When you have no HP left GHOST uses curse on you and the screen goes black. You are forced to turn it off and on. And you can only select new game. You have been killed, and your file erased.

People have remade this with fire red, and you can have a go at this game yourself, though be prepared for a creepy experience. As always be careful.
