How about we just use the front page at the moment, with a few tweeks, website and such, Hotwire did a good job on that, also, add a note at the bottom, eg.
Note from the Style-XI 3 Team

Feeding on the grassy randomness?
ALRIGHT I'M BACK!
-I say we drop the OS cuz nobody wants to do that.
-Plus I think we need to do something to our collab that's different from the others so -that we look cool and nobody leaves because we are so cool. Maybe we could do a raffle every other friday and the winner gets a smiley face.
These are my words of wisdom.

Basically my idea for the new front page:
[/img]
This collaboration is supposed to be a bit of fun but also it's supposed help some people to develop a more advanced understanding of Scratch, either this being through getting stuck in with the group or viewing a tutorial made by this collaboration.
Check out the News of Style-Xi 3 in the first reply to this forum post!
Note: When filling out our 'Members' app you may notice that we don't ask for your age this is because we believe you can create anything in Scratch no matter what your age is provided you have the skills!
Style-Xi 2 Gallery
Style-Xi 2 Sharing Gallery
What we are aiming to do is stretch out our hands to Scratchers who really want to do well and give them a boost. This isn't about getting views, it's not a popularity contest, it's about Scratch and the community.
What Style-Xi 2 hopes to achieve is to create great projects from people who enjoy Scratch, who Scratch just for the fun of it and for the great community it provides.
Even if you don't want to be fully committed to this collaboration we can still help you out on a project. You can make a project 'in collaboration with Style-Xi 2', or make one with your friends who are in Style-Xi 2.
You don't need the whole group involved!
If you want to work on a project with anyone in Style-Xi 2 post what you have done in the so the other people working with you can access what you have done and build upon what you have done.
Or if it isn't a project just post the link to whatever it is in the comments.
(The galleries are maintained frequently and checked upon to make sure nothing unsuitable for the galleries is added)

YAYZ, I like the raffle idea, except, we have a vote for what the prize would be, how about a featured project on our thread and site?

Arr, I liked the smiley face idea, but we can do yours.

does anyone know HTML? if we make an actual website, I could probably make something up in adobe fireworks for the front page.
See my signature for example of what I can do in fireworks

Hmm... Will this go on in scratch 2.0?

Yesss. (I hope)
Lets's rename this collab 'yet another collab trying to be self-importantly the best studios|despite the name we are accepting apps!
One of my worse ideas.
If we have no obvious leader, and work systematically without organisation, someone reading our forum will find it more attractive.
Most starting collabs try to be big from the start. Lets' variate this, do something else. I shall get on a computer and write a long post which you can all decide not to read because it is so long.

Ok, in the new xi, there is an organiser. We re-elect the organiser every time they decide they want to step down, or they are required to step down because they are doing a rubbish job.
The organiser organises votes on the next project, electing other higher positions to other senior members and writes initial checklists. The organiser has no authority over anything not mentioned above, although i will build on what they do later.
Next is the person who sorts stuff out. We may want to have three of these.
They set up who does what, they accept memberships, they are about as high as the average 2 star admin. They can kick people out if they feel a reason to. They Have to be nominated and elected. This is the position which requires the most work and commitment.
Next are the administrators. They can accept temporary apps, they make sure everyone does something, and they anti procrastinate in all ways, pretty constantly and keep eveything moving. They may be downgraded by higher ranking members although the position isn't too high so there shouldn't be a reason to.
Now comes the general ranks. The senior Xis are the only ones who can apply for the positions mentioned above. They do stuff without extra duties like admin or above and are regular checkers-in. They have to be nominated to move up in position by at least three people, at which point we call a vote on whatever they are nominated to be. this is organised by the organiser.
The average Xi is just a member. they don't have to check in regularly, but have to do stuff. They have been approved by one of the higher members as a member, and to become senior, they have to check in at least weekly for minimum three weeks, at which point they are approached and asked if they wish to become senior. They have the option to decline if they don't think they'll be able to check in enough.
The temporary members are members who have only been approved by and admin, not higher. They are temporary until someone high up (who checks in regularly) spots them and says 'You're a member now'.
Jobs:
Glitch testers,
base makers,
animators(me!)
Graphics
Programmers
Sound
Writing/storylines
anything i've forgotten.
When the organiser comes up with a checklist, all the senior members are required to do something. Anyone above that isn't, although the admins and organiser should be.
Ask questions about this, change this, do stuff with it, challenge it, it needs proper input from everyone.
Following the example of what has been set out above, and me assuming position of temporary admin as i was in the old Xi,
This is our first project-to re-design style Xi as no collab has been before and to make it brilliant!

I like it Pinnipediator! (But honestly, I skimmed through it; have to sleep soon -_-)
I'd like to stay a regular graphics member in Style-Xi 3, so that I can work hard to earn the special positions (I know that I haven;t been contributing much, so this gives me a chance to redeem myself).
Who's going to make the new thread?
I can so help with website graphics. That's my specialty; see my shop.
We should also make a Style-Xi Account.

How about, the sort-outers control the account joint and whenever a new one joins them, they release the password for a day before deleting the post that it's on, probably a comment on a random no views project of one of theirs so the newbie can see it.
Everyone here at the moment, unless requesting otherwise should start as a senior member. We will need a few to get going. We have numbers on our side- we can organise a never thought of before collab because we have enoughish people from the start.

Yes yes yes we know firedrake. Everyone here unless stating otherwise stays a member and doesn't have to re-apply. I think everyone here becomes a senior member straight off. We need 2 admins, 3 sort-outers (need a name for them) and one organiser all senior members, plus some other senior members 'spare'.
If everyone agrees to this then we had better start nominating people for the higher positions quickish, so hotwire can close this topic and someone starts the new one (preferably the new organiser)
