The idea is that you can make a 3D project to better develop skills for 3D game making. It is the 8th game generation, and 3D is the way to go in this game generation. The Menu editor will allow you to make a menu, making your project cooler, and it would make it like a real game. These can be added on later though.

3D suggestions have been denied, so it's no point suggesting. Define "Menu Editor".
I'm against this.

The "menu editor" sounds like it could already be done, as for 3D, as was previously stated all 3D suggestions have been denied, and it will probably never happen, the scratch team shows no intention on trying to make scratch 3D, either for budget, the recoding effort or simply because it would make it too complex.
If you want 3D. i've heard alice is what you want

Or Starlogo TNG.
Anyways you can already easily make menus in Scratch.

Alice, even if it is for linux, won't work on my computer. But my operating system might get changed to Windows 7 Ultimate soon. From there, I will install Unity 3d, and learn c++ and make CBOX CBLOX (using the MineCraft Starter Package).

the scratch team said that
scratch isn't going 3d
so it isn't
Haha, I don't think it's right to quote them like that, I think they used proper grammar and capitalization. But they did say that Scratch isn't going 3D, and if they are, it's going to to have to be a L O T of time before-hand.

First you have to be fluent in Squeak.
Then you shift-click the loop in the r in "scratch" in the top left and then edit stuff. There are guides. You can use that search box in the top right of the page. A search box will look for things matching what you type in.

1. Program the menu--Scratch isn't drag 'n' drop
2. Program the 3D
