The future of Scratch is very bright and I think there should be 3 new features.
1. A Build Your Own Blocks input [i]in[i/] Scratch. I mean actually create a brand new block, so it's different from the custom blocks
2. A customizable stage size
3. An option to program in coding, using flash perhaps (although I like Java more) but since it's in flash I think flash would be good.
I know these are some big things but worth it.

1. Unless you are meaning something different, then it will be in 2.0
2. This might be useful, but not currently to me.
3. I would do it like the scratchblocks code, but possibly similar to HTML or JavaScript.
P.S
The code used for this forum closes with [/stuff], not [stuff/].
Edit log: Added some more stuff for #3. Edit 2: Changed the EN. Edit notes: First edit! Does this bump it? No, it does not.

Not really. It's basically compressing 2 or more blocks into one block.

And what would you define making your own as, bearing in mind that it shouldn't have an easy way for it to be abused

If you gave it all the abilities of AS/squeak then you could totally abuse it, for example somewhere someone coded a block that checks if an entered password matches an entered account.

Or give the user a virus.
