Ok, I want to export a lot of sprites, but every time I do it with a regular Scratch Cat, it succeeds but when I try something different, it doesn't work. Please tell me what is happening!

What error do you receive when you try exporting?
It says, "Could not read file name." It does that with everything I try to export but the Scratch cat.

Renamed something? Or maybe you saved it as a false image type?

Well, I usually put one random letter like a or b. It doesn't save sprites like with the little purple sonic sprite at the bottom of your post. Spites like that, I'm trying to export. But anything else i try, it doesn't export except the scratch cat.

Did you make them with GIMP? Do you use ''All files'' as save image?

Did you email scratch team about it?

I use ubuntu, and when making the original Calvinator Challenge, I had to transfer the project to the mac book, which had Mac Lion OSX on it. I can't export sprites either, but I found out that it was Ubuntu that has this problem, cause no other OS had this problem. Try moving the project to a different computer.

I had to have my own copy of Calvinator challenge to see if it worked, but it requires another project called Car Maker to complete the copy. But that required me to export my sprite, that is why I moved to the mac book.

You might be able to use the other one, and your export problem would be gone
All you need are either a usb flash drive, or the internet.
If you are going to use the internet, then submit the nessesary projects for the project, get on the other pc, go to "my stuff" on the Scratch website, then download your projects (remember to download scratch first), then export your sprite to put it in the main project. (Just make sure it doesn't have Ubuntu, otherwise it won't work).
I used this to fix this same problem with Calvinator challenge.
If a new computer was purchased, it would probably make this easier.
You don't have to do this, cause it would take awhile on the other computer. If the computer is slow then it might be the Memory cards in the computer. 8GB is a good speed for a computer. The cards will show the numbers.

Or it could be that the other PC has viruses. If so, Try Norton 360, it will destroy all viruses (just make sure the other computer does not have Windows XP, other wise Norton will kill the computer, cause XP is really old (came out in 2001)).

Norton can't destroy a windows virus we got here.

Throw all the comments you want, Norton will fix any virus. They are like in a version 6.0 I believe. Norton 360 also enhances pc performance. We had this Dell inspiron with 360 on it, and until my sister locked it, it did not have a single virus at all.
