really? i think it's better than some other things we've gotten, but on the other hand, i think we can probably find better.

Here's an idea. Make our own topic! Make it something crazy and fun, like the coolest thing you've ever done, the weirdest / most awkward moment in your life, or what you wish could be invented someday (like, flying cars, roller skates with rockets, an infinite chocolate fountain...). Sound interesting to any of you?

awesome idea! dont tell anyone its for the newspaper, and then we have some highlights, i'll put them here. The only problem is, it's not a featured thread then.

We will call the column Scratchers Say, and have a different topic for every issue. With your OK, WingsGames, I will make the Scratchers Say thread and I will column it for each issue. Sound good?

Yup! The first topic will be Scratch 2.0! I'll get started now! I think this will be an awesome column!

Heres what we have to do. make something kinda like seriously funny kids. Ask them quesitons and then they answer with the craziest and funnyest responses EVER XD

Internet Addiction
The exponential growth of the internet over the past decade has opened up a new world for children and teenagers to learn, play and communicate. Blogs, discussion forums, search engines, file-sharing, online gaming and instant messaging have become and integral part of our daily lives.

While exciting, the access also exposes students to dangers such as online bullying, cyber predations and other hackings. How do we keep safe even as we surf the internet?

Cyberwellness 
Cyberwellness refers to the positive well-being of internet users. It involves an understanding of the dangers of harmful online behaviours, an awareness of how to protect yourself and other internet users from such dangers.

Principals
There are mainly two principals you need to guide you in your actions when participating in online activities. They are mainly:

-Respect for self and others:
Uphold your dignity when online and avoid surfing inappropriate sites and participating in illegal online activities such as online gambling and ponography.
Also, respect others by avoiding use of their work without permission and publishing of indesirable materials that hurt others.

-Safe and responsible use:
Understand the dangers of harmful and illegal online behaviours, and learn to protect yourself as well as to avoid dangers you may encounter online.
Also remember to think carefully about the consequences of your decisions and behaviours while online and make responsible choices to protect yourself and the community.


When you are participating in any online activity, always remember to follow these 3 simple steps:

1)Sense:  Are you aware of the dangers online? Whenever you are online, the first step is to 'sense' the dangers online.

2)Think: Should I be doing this? Using the two principals as a guide, analyse and think carefully about the encounter before acting.

3)Act: Have the courage to act and behave responsibly!
