Yeah. I saw a creepypasta thread, too.

Here's an idea. Make our own topic! Make it something crazy and fun, like the coolest thing you've ever done, the weirdest / most awkward moment in your life, or what you wish could be invented someday (like, flying cars, roller skates with rockets, an infinite chocolate fountain...). Sound interesting to any of you?

awesome idea! dont tell anyone its for the newspaper, and then we have some highlights, i'll put them here. The only problem is, it's not a featured thread then.
IDEA! IDEA! IDEA! IDEA! IDEA!
We will call the column Scratchers Say, and have a different topic for every issue. With your OK, WingsGames, I will make the Scratchers Say thread and I will column it for each issue. Sound good?

Would it be like opinions on certain events in Scratch? If so, totally!

OhWaitGuys.
I had an idea a few days ago, but I forgot to tell you.
Seeing as I'm only spontaniously funny, and not funny 24/7, I did not volunteer to make comics for the comics page. However, it's more than likely that there are at least a few comedic minds out there on Scratch, so I was thinking that I could make a thread in the Requests forum for visual puns and jokes, and I could invite others to share their funny ideas on the thread. I would pick out the top few jokes that I found most amusing, show it to you guys, and we'd have a vote. Once we've decided which one is funniest, I would draw it to life, and we'd put it in the paper, along with my name for the graphics and whoever's name it is for the joke itself. Sound okay?

Here's the link to the Scratchers Say thread. Tell me if you want me to make any changes!

oh, and change it to Scratchers Say, not Featured Forum. Since, you know, the idea slowly changed....

Paint editor is absolutely awful.
Clones should copy code.
The blocks are a bit uglier but I can deal with it.
In-browser you can't use right-click features I'm accustomed to.

Our first Scratchers Say post. It looks like soupoftomato has found the negative side to Scratch 2.0. This column could be interesting.

Just say which column you want to work for...
@ WingsGames, I thought there is already supposed to be one collab featured every issue? We already have The Bit Company and Shadow inc. So that will last quite a while before we need another interview... once again, I want to write for recent projects...

Okay. Do we need more articles?

What do you mean??? Just decide where the article you are writing should go under... and give it a name... of course...
@ WingsGames, I am just going to do an article on Internet Addiction. After that, you can decide where it should go under: Interest story or seperate paper to keep scratchers from waiting... It will be quite long ones, so i suggest it goes under seperate paper...
Note: I need an artist to help me...

News: Website has been updated http://scratchchatter.weebly.com
And im done with the internet addiction article!
Internet Addiction
The exponential growth of the internet over the past decade has opened up a new world for children and teenagers to learn, play and communicate. Blogs, discussion forums, search engines, file-sharing, online gaming and instant messaging have become and integral part of our daily lives.
While exciting, the access also exposes students to dangers such as online bullying, cyber predations and other hackings. How do we keep safe even as we surf the internet?
Cyberwellness
Cyberwellness refers to the positive well-being of internet users. It involves an understanding of the dangers of harmful online behaviours, an awareness of how to protect yourself and other internet users from such dangers.
Principals
There are mainly two principals you need to guide you in your actions when participating in online activities. They are mainly:
-Respect for self and others:
Uphold your dignity when online and avoid surfing inappropriate sites and participating in illegal online activities such as online gambling and ponography.
Also, respect others by avoiding use of their work without permission and publishing of indesirable materials that hurt others.
-Safe and responsible use:
Understand the dangers of harmful and illegal online behaviours, and learn to protect yourself as well as to avoid dangers you may encounter online.
Also remember to think carefully about the consequences of your decisions and behaviours while online and make responsible choices to protect yourself and the community.
When you are participating in any online activity, always remember to follow these 3 simple steps:
1)Sense: Are you aware of the dangers online? Whenever you are online, the first step is to 'sense' the dangers online.
2)Think: Should I be doing this? Using the two principals as a guide, analyse and think carefully about the encounter before acting.
3)Act: Have the courage to act and behave responsibly!
