It uses, umm, well, I don't really know what we're going to use...
You could use mesh to communicate with a Python/Java server, that's best way to go. If you need help, you could ask Magnie, as she has lots of experience with Mesh servers.

Whoa, whoa, ok, we're in the planning stage, not the doing stage...
I'll ask her if she could help us, you know, try to make, and communicate with a Java server.
We'll also need someone who could host the MMO 24/7/365
See, this is why it belongs here.

Right.
Since this'll be in Scratch, you should make it in BYOB and automatically connect to the server using the connect to ip block. Then it can be compiled to EXE using BYOB's built-in compiler, and it'll be available for download online.

First of all, Magnie is he. (it's Magnie, not Maggie...) Secondly, I could help, as I'm about as experienced as Magnie. coolhogs, I appreciate the planning
Once this is fully planned, I'll help with the actual coding (I won't help with the planning, cause I have other stuff to keep me occupied right now)

Yes, I suppose you could help...
OK, I got an idea...
A Scratch the programming language based MMO?
Or is that Scratch Galaxy?
The log-in would only be for Scratchers. (Non-new scratchers.)
Every Scratcher would be blocks, with their names on them.
You can customize your blocks with hats, and clothes...
What do you guys think?

A lot seems to happen in three hours of not looking at this topic...
But yeah, bobbybee would probably better at helping you guys than I would be since I've got my own projects I'm working on.

Ah, yeah...
I understand...
OK, I got another idea:
Each place is a project. You can command the project to do stuff by placing yourself with other blocks.

I updated the list to include some new things.
I'm not sure, honestly. FireMMO/It's unreleased, unspoken of-successor (shh) runs on C, which is faster than the both. I think Java might win though.
