Lower the wait time between posts.

I get tired of waiting 180 secs. between posts! Do you?

AUUUGGHHH! There it is again! I have to wait SO long!

The reason why you have to wait 180 seconds in between posts is because the Scratch team doesn't want the forums to get spammed a lot. If there was no wait period, then there would be a strong possibility that half of all posts in the forums were spam.

also, once you become a scratcher, the wait time is limited to 60 seconds.  So just keep working at becoming a scratcher!  smile

You think it's terrible now, and then a troll comes and you think "Ohhh God why was it only 180 seconds?!"

Like the troll attacks in December, that pretty much sums up why the rule's there.

Without the 180 second rule for new members, spammers would be posting spam all over the place.

When you become a scratcher, it will become a 60 second rule.

As stated above, it's to stop spam. I do think it should be shortened or removed after you fur fill another set of criteria, but i don't notice it much

Also worth noting as that the 180-second delay will be shortened to 60 seconds with time, per user. So, the New Scratcher class has to wait 180 seconds, but that will be improved to 60 seconds once you're upgraded to Scratcher, by which time the wait is virtually unnoticeable.

Of course, as a Community Moderator, I have no wait, so it's hard to remember the 60-second delay.
