Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

So I was thinking, and I thought we should have two mascots, a worm (current) and a cat (new!). I could make banners with them on it, in fact I'll go make them now. The cat can have the same markings and colors as the worm, in the old banners.

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

A Lorakeet peed on me and everyone laughed!!!!!!!!!!  mad   mad  I dont care if a lorakeet pees on me, I mean, when you gotta go you gotta go, but they dont have to laugh at ME!! Also its weird cause most of the time people dont tease me about my name but everryone statred teaasing me and then I just got so overwhelmed I had to cry but I didn't, I just looked sad at them and all of a sudden they decided: "Ohkay, I'll be nice to her now." Gr...

Okay. Got that out of my system.

I thought of a cool book idea, where a girl runs away from her home, which has an endless forest next to it, which leads to a tribe of people seperated from society. The MC wants to join them, but to become a full fledged member, she has to participate in 20 challenges, and win at least 15 to become a member. She attempts the challenges, with the other tribe-born hopefuls her age, but some one is against her, and has rigged the challenges to make them harder, and possibly kill her!

Does anyone have ideas for challenges/ways they could be rigged? I've literally thught of nothing yet.

My idea! I made it in Paint, so it sucks, but it includes the cat and it links to the new topic.

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Sorry about the Lorakeet, once a goat ate half my shirt, while i was still wearing it!
Andddd cool idea for a story Waffle  smile  Maybe the idea could be she wants to join but the clan is quite divided cause some don't want an outsider to join. She has the support of a few who help her with the tasks but a couple want her to fail to show outsiders aren't worthy of joining.
One test could be you have 4 pots, one contains a poisoness scorpion and you have to work out which ones don't( Sticking your arm in to prove it). They put scorpions in all of them but she just picks it up and it doesn't sting her.(Leading people to think she has power of scorpions and is awesome ect.)

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Good idea. Maybe a vine swinging contest, where she has to swing from the vines in a course, to win a race, but she gets diverted from the course, and ends up in higher and weaker trees, swings on one, the branch brakes, she falls from higher than the course, higher than anyone goes In the trees for safety, and ends up falling through the finish line before everyone else, making everyone think that she's super skilled and fast and daring and stuff.
Goat ate half of your shirt?
A deer once ate half of my brothers glove when he didn't give it a jellybaby.
Sound stupid? He didn't think it was. He lost the jellybabies, and his gloves got converted into fingerless ones.
He got really nicely trimmed nails out of it.
This deer was so random. It loved people. And jellybabies.
It spat the bits of glove out again, into an anthill.
My brother wasn't happy lol. Apparently it hurt. Apparently deer have sharp teeth.

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Happy St. Georges Day!

There was a knight named George
He rode a big white horse
His armour was bright
Gave the dragon a fright
When he rode up and choppped off his head

He rescued the princess
Along with her pink dress
And the king was so happy
He pooped in his nappy
So they married the very next day!

A short rubbish poem to commemorate this day XD

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

I'll put that code on the new first post.  smile  that'd be cool. Then anyone could have t, if that's okay.

I could mock up and improve on that green cat design.
I'll follow your ideas, just on better software (paint.NET) and
well.
Yeah.
Stuff.
I'll see if it will look better after some paint.NETing.
smile
I'm not mucking up your designs and saying 'oh they're rubbish', I'm just seeing if i can add something to it (not that it's missing anything)
cool?  smile

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Oh and Pinni? Did you mention a while back that you're going to try out to be the blogger on youngwriters? If you did thats really cool  big_smile  If not then i think i'm imagining things and need to see a phycaitrist (Or however you spell it)XD

Off topic but this really mean kid kept turning on the taps in science and getting all my work wet on purpose (The sinks are next to our desks and spray really far, they're more like sprinklers) Anyway i held his book beneath the tap so he wouldn't turn the tap on any more but he accidently turned it on and got his book really wet! When he complained to the teacher she was like" So it's her fault that you turned the tap on and got your book wet???" It was hilarious  big_smile

Nerd Power  smile

Hopefully will cheer you guys up even if is off topic( It contained a book so there!)

ANyhoo, i'll probably be less active in the coming weeks as i've got exams coming up and have to revise DX

Oh @ Mint, i read your project. I'm really sorry about your Grandad. I hope things get better soon.
And "accidently" squash sir buttheads clay model when you're storing them

The junior version you can set a smaller target so you could set it for 30 000 or something to compensate for summer camp  smile

I wish it was august instead of july as i'm still in school during july so i won't be able to write as much as i wan't to D:

Your still in school in July? Wow. I'm like a month into Summer vacation in July. However, I wish it were August too so I could do it without summer camp.

So far I have 8 of the challenges, and shes failed 3 lol. Hm, anyone have anymore ideas? So far I have:

-Obstacle course (With vines [pinni's idea], streams, etc.)
-Taming a wild animal (mint's)
-Diving into lake to retrieve an item in one breath
-Counting blades of grass
-Team hunting (win or lose as a team)
-Fighting a lion pack
-Climb to the top of the tallest tree
-Scorpion pots (whisper)

I think I'm going to use this as my NaNoWriMo novel  big_smile
