Walking Up a Slope/Hill

Hiya! I'm trying to make a 2D fighting game, but I'm having some trouble trying to get the characters to walk up slopes and hills. Any ideas?

There are some game engines that have this, you could download one of them and look at how they do it.

I have a slope detector engine here.
