Don't go on it.
I looked it up and judging by its wikipedia article its nothing you want to see or speak of on scratch.
No idea why you would want to sign up for that if you are so violently opposed to nasty fanart things as you have mentioned in other threads.

O.o

Thank you, you probably saved me from continuous nightmares.

It means, if you're too lazy to read the first post, then don't bother to post because you don't know what's going on anyway

Automatically. And you could decide to have it private (if collaboration, it would just be viewed by people you include) or public.

Okay  smile
Would you be able to create groups?

If this is what I think it is I don't think you'll be on it anyway.

But it might be something I've been strangely unaware of, so meh.

This sounds a bit like Reddit.

This. Look at /r/IamA.
IAmA = "I am a"
AMA = "Ask me anything"
AMAA="Ask me almost anything"

Of course it's not like random people just get a popular AMA, usually they are either:

1. Famous person (Mojang did some)
2. Person with a special/interesting profession
3. Person with an interesting life experience to share

There are three keys to a successful business/web site on the internet, and at least two are necessary.
1. You must have a truly good idea
2. You must do it first
3. You must do it best

Google and Facebook are great examples of this trio.
Since you didn't get there first, you will either need to make it better than Reddit, or you will need another attraction, Just like Coder's Shed. It is similar to Stack Exchange, but because it has a userbase of friendly people who will help on even the most noob-like questions, it gets a good following.

While I frequent /r/IamA you really shouldn't post it here.  tongue

HOWEVER, for those interested, Bill Nye is currently doing one and the thread's been pretty tame with content.

Google Docs.

It might not hold terribly long pieces, but it's pretty good for most stuff you would work on with others.

Agreed. Collabs always fail, so it doesn't matter that it gets laggy after a certain point

No, too pessimistic.

More like, you wouldn't write as much in a collaborative effort, successful or not, it would seem.

It's pretty much the only good fanfiction I've ever read.

It's a Harry Potter that's grown up in a better home reading science fiction and being generally smarter than most his age.

He is pessimistic and considers the worst possible outcome of everything because he says that most people think they're considering a worst case scenario when they end up actually having an optimistic view.

He also points out the obvious flaws in the way the magic was written in the books and abuses the ones he can.

Re: What website would YOU join?

Wait I just realized.

I was referencing "too similar to veggie's thing" in my question.
I assume PF's answers were in conjunction to being about "veggie's thing"
oh gosh the wording

My answers to people's questions were about the writing collab website idea that I had thought of on the spot. I was not referring to "veggie's thingy" except saying that it might be too similar.  smile
Though I'm not sure if 'his thingy' is focused on collabing or specifically writing at all.
I had originally put the real name, but wicki told me to take it off, so I switched it with that. Sooo much better.

"Veggie's thingy" is not solely veggies and will be used for many things.
