What website would YOU join?

Hello, I've been trying to brainstorm on a social website that I've been creating. I had a few ideas, but didn't know if they would work or if they were even good at all.
So I'd like your opinion on these brainstorms, and ideas of your own. Thanks

1. Have you ever done one of those question tag things on a blog or youtube? Well, thats what this website would be like. People would ask other users questions and those people would answer them. Then that person would 'tag' another user so they had to answer the question. I was also thinking that maybe you could tag your question so that people could brose through a tag page and see it, answer, and pass it on.

2. This idea is pretty simple. Pretty much you post links to websites/pages that you like. Then you tag them with the category. People can go onto that category's feed and see the posts related.

I'll add some more, once I remember them.

This sounds a bit like Reddit.

This is a temporary signature. It will exist until I think of something witty.

This. Look at /r/IamA.
IAmA = "I am a"
AMA = "Ask me anything"
AMAA="Ask me almost anything"

Of course it's not like random people just get a popular AMA, usually they are either:

1. Famous person (Mojang did some)
2. Person with a special/interesting profession
3. Person with an interesting life experience to share

There are three keys to a successful business/web site on the internet, and at least two are necessary.
1. You must have a truly good idea
2. You must do it first
3. You must do it best

Google and Facebook are great examples of this trio.
Since you didn't get there first, you will either need to make it better than Reddit, or you will need another attraction, Just like Coder's Shed. It is similar to Stack Exchange, but because it has a userbase of friendly people who will help on even the most noob-like questions, it gets a good following.

You should do #hashtags instead of adding a tag at the end.

And Skittles, I agree with you. Thanks for taking the time to type that out.  smile

So does anyone have ideas of their own?

Okey doke I'll run through it one more time
>The family Dell stopped working due to my not bothering to install Adblock, and system32 was deleted. Installation of Windows 7 seems to be not working. It also has some sort of hardware problem.
>My netbook died a few weeks back--again, sys32. It wasn't really my fault though, it had less storage space than a good flash drive and couldn't perform virus checks
>My old old almost-as-old-as-I-am laptop isn't working. I don't know why. It stopped working during a two-months-ish period in which I didn't really use it at all...
>So, I am borrowing my sister's laptop.
>She told me I could not use the internet, only Mic Word, due to my destroying 3 computers (only the Dell was really my fault)
>I convinced her that I would use Scratch and ONLY Scratch and she said 'okay fine'
>So, as much as I want to, nope
(I got to use it for a few minutes on sample Macs and Nooks at stores in Boston, but I probably won't be going there or anywhere else for a while)

Will we have to submit something, or will it be posted automatically?

Automatically. And you could decide to have it private (if collaboration, it would just be viewed by people you include) or public.
