iOS official topic

I think there was an old one, but I can't find it.

Anyways, right now I'm installing iOS 6 Beta Release 3. It seems totally awesome. I'll post screenshots and maybe video if it installs properly.

Also, I was wondering if I should jailbreak my device. I figure I might try it and then restore if I don't like it.

It's possible to dual-boot Android and iOS when you jailbreak  big_smile

Re: iOS official topic

I don't think you need one, to download iOS 6 beta, you only need it for OSX pre-releases.

No, I'm pretty sure you need a license. Where'd you hear that?

I can't wait for iOS 6. It looks great. I want Google Maps to stay, though.

From what I see, Apple's maps has much more features. I've never liked Google maps, they are sooo slow  tongue

Unneeded fancy graphics just suck power.

But Google Maps doesn't really have very 'fancy' graphics. But they're still slow  tongue

I looked at screenshots of the new maps, and the first thing I thought was "come on, I don't want to drain my iTouch's battery just looking at directions."

The app will be built to function as well as possible with Apple hardware.

Re: iOS official topic

Is it too much to ask for a map that I can use without an Internet connection?

Re: iOS official topic

I've researched for ways to download the whole Google Earth package, but apparently it's not possible. I wouldn't mind a 10GB download, I just want to be able to use Google Earth without network lag ><

Sometimes I want to use maps when I'm offline. You know, in a CAR, TRAVELING. It also irritates me at how bad the Rhapsody app is. It is an iPhone only app, so I need to scale it up. Whenever I am on an internet connection and open the app, it for some reason tries to re-download all of the album art. So when I open the app in my car while I am still in the car, then leave before it can re-download them, I can end up with most of my album art missing. It may not be a big deal, but it is a bug that shouldn't be happening, because it isn't difficult to just download the album art permanently.

Yes: yes.  Just google "why should I jailbreak" and you'll see.

Re: iOS official topic

They are going to remove Youtube and Google Maps in iOS 6 because Apple's contract with Google ran out. D:

Do you know how much trouble you could get into? Apple could sue you and if you say a word about what 6 looks like, you'll be in violation of all sorts of contracts.

I think it's sad people abuse the system like this, and I try and report everyone I see who illegally does this. :I
