I know where ember is. In book three, the Prophet Of Yonwood, (SPOILER WARNING!) Niki's Father is doing a project in California. Then, the disaster dies down. Fifty years later, the disaster is coming. War comes, and Niki, an old lady then, goes into ember. Since the project was EMBER, and they moved to california, wouldn't Ember be in california?
I just realized mokat also said this XD but I agree with him.

Personally, I think Ember is in Crater Lake or something. Crater Lake would withstand fallout, the "big city" is Portland, and the "northern apple country" is Eastern Washington.
(DUR HUR yes I know because I live in Western Washington.)

It's not that specific. It's not like he said 'I live in X Road, number 12, Western Washington'.

Oh. yeah. Still, who you think is your best friend on your internet who says he's 11, might really be an old man trying to get personal info. and I'm too much of a scaredy-cat on the internet.

My theory: I used to live in a suburb of Portland. It is DEFINITELY in the west coast. It probably also is in the northern area... maybe in southern oregon.
