It's a console concept that looks amazing. I want to get more information on it before I pay to get one, but it's looking cool.
It's going to be an Android-based home gaming console made to attract more independent developers to it and make it easy for them. Essentially, they want to make it as easy as coding for mobile phones but allow better games than phones can handle. And every game has to be free in some way. (Through a demo, being free and having an in-game store or something else)
So yeah, It looks really cool

Designed by the best designer outside Apple according to one article LO
It looks cool, and it would definitely be one of my favourite consoles, but I guess the most important factor is how many games there actually are for it. If there's very few compatible games for it, It's unlikely to be popular or successful.
Amazing design though.

Mojang is already signed up to release Minecraft for it.
So that will probably at least attract the people who play it (large amount of people) and have indies see there's potential in the console, as well as the fact that they are trying to get AAA support.
I'm probably going to wait to see what support it gets after release and buy one if it's good.

I prefer playing games with a proper keyboard and mouse though, and I would hate to try typing on chat with a console

You will probably be using a headset with a microphone.
It's what is use even in computer gaming. Steam is really handy for friends, and Skype and other means exist.
I would say "Proper keyboard and mouse" is only true for games made for computer. There's something nice about holding a controller and playing a console when the game was made for one IMO.
I.e. while you can emulate Super Mario Bros., it won't be as good on computer.

Yea, I get that, but I you do still have to type commands and things for Minecraft.
I do enjoy driving games on consoles, though I don't own one

Google that can't search well at all and literally just steals the most clicked results from other, better engines.

At least Yahoo! is more independent.
