Post a lot of comments on the site (not spam), you could post a thread in Show and Tell, ask curators to curate your projects, there are a lot of ways! But mostly you should try to be a part of the community.

The most effective way is to make a large image that fills your entire signature (513x150 pixels) and put it there. On Unpredictable, whilst I had an advertisement in my signature, I was averaging maybe 100 views a day, at the very least, and as soon I changed my signature I received about 30 a day. I think people underestimate how many more views you get from advertising in your sig.

Or, instead of making many different types of genres for projects, you could stick with one genre. Like I did, I do a lot of art projects. You could be named "Molybdenum, the greatest animator of all time!"
