Anything after A Rush Of Blood To The Head becomes too mainstream and not very good, but I like early Coldplay allright.

They're okay, but I don't listen to them as much, and I only heard one song from them.

The Scientist is probably my favorite. I also like Yellow and Viva La Vida. Paradise is catchy and the harmony is amazing, but it's not the best.

I don't mind them, they're not my favourite. We're learning Viva La Vida on the keyboard at school.

I think this is a duplicate; I'm pretty sure I already made a Coldplay topic...
Oh, well. Coldplay is one of my favorite bands - I particularly enjoy how each of their albums is different.
Parachutes has an acoustic, dream pop, genuine Britpop flavor with a side of indie. A Rush of Blood to the Head had more electric instruments and pianos, making it more alternative than its predecessor. X&Y saw Coldplay experimenting with electronic genres, resulting in a neo-progressive/alt-rock record with influences from Brian Eno and Kraftwerk. On Viva la Vida, the band felt obliged to explore some more exotic instrumentations, climaxing with the epic title track, with its soaring orchestral backing. The artsy record was almost a peak for the band - Coldplay's Sgt. Pepper, so to say - and it seriously gave a big push in the music industry during a somewhat bland, uninspiring time for music. Their most recent album, Mylo Xyloto, harks back slightly to "X&Y", with its electronic influences. But this time, "electronic" takes on a whole new meaning. Whereas "X&Y" explored early electronica music, "Mylo Xyloto" seems to dive into synthesizer-based New Wave and pop. And though this move may have been seen as an abandonment to Coldplay's hardcore alternative and indie fans, there's still the classic Coldplay trademarks - Chris Martin's swooning vocals, soaring melodies, anthemic choruses, fluttering, riffless guitars, and the sheer grandiosity implemented into every track.
My favorite albums would be "A Rush of Blood to the Head" and "Viva la Vida", and my favorite songs would be "Viva la Vida", "Yellow", "The Hardest Part", "X&Y", and "Life in Technicolor".

Oh yeah sorry, All4One.
Yeah, very good review. I enjoyed reading.
I've only really been listening to them in the last month, though I've heard their name pop up many times.

It's fine. In fact, since this topic seems to be more popular, I'll just close mine.
And thanks!
