2 questions-

1) If I delete my account, will I be able to make one of the same name for Scratch 2.0? (I'm not planning on returning until at least then)

2) How long does it take for an account to be deleted? I'm worried that people are goanna think I lied about leaving scratch.

Re: 2 questions-

You shouldn't delete your account at all! People are probably still going to want to see your projects!

Re: 2 questions-

You can leave Scratch without deleting your account -- especially if you're planning on coming back when 2.0 is released!!

What other people think shouldn't worry you that much; it's your decision of leaving and nobody has to have it proven to them  wink

Nope; I'm not sure about the second question.

Why would you leave scratch?

true- i won't bother now! and to whoever asked about why i was thinking of leaving- it's because i made a shambles of this point i wanted to get across about collaborations and there were about 5 pages of arguments all over it within one night! i was worried everyone would become to hate me- problem is now that i'm keeping my account I might as well as saved the advert thread! oh well, i'll just make a new one for scratch 2.0.

No. Deleted account names are kept in the database, you will not be able to sign up again with the same username.

2) How long does it take for an account to be deleted? I'm worried that people are goanna think I lied about leaving scratch.

It depends on how long the Scratch Team member will get your e-mail. Normally you reply back from the Scratch Team asking for details to confirm that you are indeed the account owner before anything is deleted.
