American Pie

It's the 4th of July, so let's discuss a song that, I don't know why, everyone plays on the 4th. It's one of my favorite songs  big_smile

Re: American Pie

Is the 4th of July special?

Is this the one by Don Mclean?

Re: American Pie

Good song, very sad meaning behind it. And I would expect most classic rock stations to play Jimi Hendrix's "The Star-Spangled Banner" on the 4th of July. But, oh well.  tongue

Re: American Pie

I love the song! Only it's about 10 minutes, and everybody else in my car sings to it. 0_o

There was a version to it based on Albert Pujols leaving the Cardinals. I'm serious, look it up.  tongue

Re: American Pie

To celebrate Independence Day I listened to this song and watched videos of fireworks factories that had been lit on fire

I myself don't like America, because in my opinion they are the most conceited country in the world. I still celebrate the 4th though, cause shooting fireworks off is fun (and illegal  hmm )
