I'm Running Windows 3.11 on my Windows 7 Computer!

I've made another Virtual PC! And It's the Classic Version of Windows! (Windows 3.11)
It was long before the start menu was introduced in Windows 95.
I'm Running it now on my Windows 7 PC using my Windows Virtual PC Software from Microsoft.
Here is the link to the demo video: http://www.viewletcentral.com/vc/viewlet/387121128/

P.S. I made the video using ViewletBuilder7!

It's a Virtual PC I made which is Windows 3.11 and I made a video of it to show you the applications. I'm not going to upload it right now for security reasons. Uploading Virtual PCs and putting them on the Scratch Forums is not legal! But anyways, you can check out the video I made about the Virtual PC I did.

I ran everything Daniel did except for OS/2 Warp and Vista (although I did run Windows 7 beta).

I've gotten in working in VirtualBox, which I find to be a superior virtualisation software.

I've considered it but haven't done it.

Yeah, me too. When I said I ran the above systems, I meant I used VBox.

Not surprising... Internet didn't really exist in the days of MS-DOS.

The virtual HDD file I downloaded had a really ancient IE installer on it.

Why would you want to run something so old and outdated? Nothing would be compatible with it.

It can be entertaining seeing what old versions of Windows look like.  smile

It's more fun if you get to try them hands-on, though.

I once played minesweeper on a windows computer that was made before internet. They had touchscreen back then also. I'm not sure what number windows it ran, but it was pretty old (80's I think).

Re: I'm Running Windows 3.11 on my Windows 7 Computer!

If anyone here has an R4 cart for Nintendo DS, you should try DSx86... It lets you run MS-DOS programs on your DS. Some programs I have successfully run on it are:
- Commander Keen (With custom button configuration)
- Mario
- Visual Basic for DOS
- QBasic
- QuickBASIC

That is not all, but if you search on Google, you will find downloads for all of those and many other MS-DOS games!

Good question Sci,  tongue  I only run old OS' because I like being able to experiment wih the old features, and horrible GUI's, there is nothing funner than editing autoexec.bat to delete everything on startup.. oh that is fun  tongue
^^ Maybe only for geeks  tongue
