To clarify:
Which looks better: New Super Mario Bros U, or New Super Mario Bros 2?
U Trailer
2 Trailer
NSMBU:
9
NSMB2:
3
I personally think NSMBU. The game incorporated with miiverse is a great idea and looks good.
NSMB2, on the other hand, is different. It looks waaaay too easy to get coins+extra lives.

2 because of it's visual style.

U because it seems like it has better graphics and more fun gameplay.

you know I don't mean that. i mean, why do you think that? What is it that makes it different? All I see is that NSMBU's graphics are, how do I put this, better.

better is an opinion. it is not a fact. you asked for his opinion, not yours.

:0 3d hurts my head too, it makes my eyes kind of cross. And I'm not getting a Wii U anytime soon, 99% of any gaming for me is via my PC ;]

geez. ALL im saying is that NSMBU, and this is a FACT, by the way, has a higher resolution, which therefore, in my opinion, means, better. THERE.

I'd say NSMB2. U has better graphics, more powerups and Miiverse, but it's basicly just an update to NSMBWii. NSMB2 is more unique with it's 1,000,000 coins concept.

NSMBU, because I don't have a 3DS.

I haven't seen the trailers, but I would say U, because of Mii support. BTW guys, you can't judge a game by it's graphics.

so you're telling me that new super mario bros. 2 doesn't look like an exact copy of NSMB?

Let's put it this way: Every 2D Mario game since SMB3 has a gimmick that makes it different from the others. SMB3 had flying and all the different suits, SMW had Yoshi, SML was weird, SML2 had the 6 golden coins, NSMBW had 4 player, and NSMB2 will have the "collect 1,000,000 coins" thingy. The only exceptions to this rule is NSMB and NSMBU. U, as I said before, is just an update to NSMBW, and NSMB is pretty basic. NSMB2 might look the same as the original, but it's the gameplay that makes the game stand out. Sure, Mario might have exactly the same physics from NSMB, yet the million coins is different from any other Mario game before it. Plus, it has lots of replay value with Coin Rush.

Not necessarily better as in higher-resolution, better as in better-looking. I personally think some of the old pixely mario games look better than NSMBU.

so the entire miiverse thing isn't "a gimmick"? and the 6 golden coins IS a gimmick? I mean, come on, the 6 golden coins basically says "there are now different worlds as opposed to SML." There are more contradictions, but that's not my point: my point is that it looks WAY too easy, like i had in my first post.
