Earlier today, I suggested that an Amendment 3 be added to the TBG Guidelines. It read:
"All TBG users reserve the right to report a topic or post for relative offensiveness to a user or group of users. Any moderators must remove the challenged material immediately without question, provided the TBG user provides a valid reason for finding the topic or post offensive."
The reason I did this is because the moderators are ignoring most cyberbullying as they are taking little or no action to it. In fact, they may even be choosing sides.
I was quickly rejected by many users and two TBG moderators on the topic.
However, isn't this something the moderators should be doing anyway?
The premature rejection spurred several flamebaits, including two popular images:

http://i.imgur.com/s6TiY.gif
which is ironic, considering that the whole point of A3P was to prevent this sort of flame.
In general debate, all arguments must be heard and counterclaimed by a member of the opposite side. That didn't happen this time. (See here for the debate - I highly suggest you read it.)
Do any of you agree that adding Amendment 3 to the TBG Guidelines is a good idea and that it should be properly heard?

I am going to have to agree with you; that's what I've always seen the policy to be on the main forums here and I always thought it was what the case was in other parts of the site. That's kind of part of the rules; if there is a valid reason for something being thought as offensive, it's removed.

360-International, having received multiple warnings for offensive and disrespectful behavior, you should know that exaggerating your story is not appreciated. cpumaster930 has dustbinned hundreds of posts of flame chiefly caused by yourself. Attempting to gain support from forumers who did not witness the event is, frankly, underhanded.
This is the final warning. If you continue to cause trouble you will be banned from the TBG forums, and given a full list of reasons why.

That shouldn't be a reason why he can't post a suggestion for the TBGs...
Oh, and Support!

The story that 360-International is telling here is completely exaggerated.
The TBG moderators have always strived to, and will continue to strive to, remove offending posts from the TBG, and therefore this amendment would be unnecessary. However, the phrase "immediately and without question" in your proposed amendment is quite strict and was the reason we denied the amendment's approval. We make decisions using our best judgment, and your accusation that we "are ignoring cyberbullying" is offensive to us in and of itself, as we make every possible effort to prevent flame from happening.
Furthermore, attempting to appeal to forumers who did not witness the event (no offense to them) while telling a biased story is a rather underhanded way of gaining support for your cause.

I'm not exaggerating the story at all. And it would've been better if the posts in the TBG Guidelines had stayed.
And I'm gonna be banned for speaking my opinion? Fantastic.

Exactly. Why ban someone for a suggestion?

This isn't about speaking your opinion. We have heard your opinion.
And now you decide to move the argument to the main forums to generate more flame?
I don't think the CMs would like that very much.

That's a lie.
They're not doing a very good job. And if it's offensive to a user, then yes, it should be removed. Your best judgment cannot reflect another person's opinion. And you're not doing a lot about some of the cyberbullying. (Take my example, for example.) And you barely do.
Well, what do you expect me to do? You wouldn't let me be heard in the TBG forums. And tell me exactly how the story is biased, then.

Um.. no.
I'm pretty sure he moved it to get more people to support... You're causing most of the flame right now, to be honest.

This seems like it was dustbinned by one of the moderators, but I'll bring this back into the open because I feel it is important to make this closing statement:
This seems more like a TBG issue than an issue of the main forums. Technically, it shouldn't be erupting here, but more importantly: No one should be dragging out reasons for banning out in the open like this.
I'm closing the thread until further notice.

I'd like to just add a closing statement to the closing statement. This statement here is the problem:
Any moderators must remove the challenged material immediately without question, provided the TBG user provides a valid reason for finding the topic or post offensive."
What you are proposing is already being done - that's one of the tasks of a forum moderator. Your issue is that the moderators are not finding your reasons valid - and that's not going to be solved by generating a lot of drama on both the TBG and the main forums.
