Compressing Files

I'm very excited to release my game Stickman Oddeysey. But, I do not know how much to compress it. It's supposed to be very big, and I need to know how much to compress it. Because, if I compress it too much, the images will be too small and the sounds will sound all blurry and not make any sense. I had to do that once to one of my projects. So, if you guys would just tell me how much to compress it, we would have a deal and I would know how much to compress it. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Multo/2626664 produce

Re: Compressing Files

First, go to your documents. Go to the Scratch Projects folder, find your project and roll your mouse over it. Check the filesize.

If it's under 10 MB, don't compress it.
If it's between 10 MB and 30 MB, then go to the project, select Edit, Compress Sounds, High at the top bar. Then you can upload it.
If it's between 30 MB and 40 MB, do as above but at the end select Medium instead.

If it is over 40 MB, you need to go further. You can compress it to an even lower quality if you wish, but it may sound poor. You can also select Compress Images and type in a value between 10 and 100 to compress the images in the project to, but unless you HAVE to, I wouldn't go below 40-50.

I hope it helps  smile
