I made a flash version of my game, 1s1s Archery. I thought it was more of a darting game, so I called it Darting Dreamer.

Pretty good. The physics don't seem quite right though, have you got the weight of the arrow right?
Also, I'd recommend not using Stencyl because it places watermarks, and you have to pay money to do many things.

I do a lot better with Scratch, I just thought the conversion would be easy. I'm probably going to move on to AS2 or AS3 (probably AS3) because Stencyl is way to confusing.
However, I find it impossible to juggle learning ActionScript3 and JavaScript, since they have so many different methods but the syntax is almost identical.

Figures, last night I had a dream that my family was being eaten by my dog (true story
)

Hi Skyline, I think you may have been given incorrect information about the free version of Stencyl.
For clarification, the free version of Stencyl has identical features to the paid-for version with only one exception of which I am aware; you cannot use the 3rd party API coding-blocks (e.g. Mochi, Kongregate) in games created with the free version, which seems quite reasonable.
I also think it is important to clarify that the free version of Stencyl does not place any watermarks in games. The only mark of any kind is the Stencyl logo that is shown briefly when the game has loaded. There isn't even a link to the Stencyl web site; it's just a professional-looking logo. I think most people would consider a 'watermark' to be some kind of advertising 'overlay' that would appear throughout the game, and this does not happen in Stencyl.
It's also worth noting that games created with the free version can even be sold without restriction as long as the initial Stencyl logo is not removed.
I think Scratch is a wonderful learning tool (I have used it to teach programming), but I think it is very important to describe and characterise alternative products accurately.
I hope that helps to clear up any misunderstandings about the free version of Stencyl.
I am not affiliated with Stencyl in any way but, as a happy user of Stencyl, I would be pleased to answer any questions about it.

This guy is categorically not employed by Stencyl!
Is there anything untrue or inaccurate that I have stated about the Stencyl product, or have I been rude to, or offended anyone?
I have tried my best to courteously and accurately correct some misinformation that was provided about another product and I just thought that was a fair thing to do.
I mentioned that I am a happy user of Stencyl, and I also stated that I think Scratch is a great tool for learning to program; I have used it to teach high-school students with great success.
Did I say anything offensive? If so, please let me know what it was so I can apologise.
If you think I have provided incorrect information then, again, please let me know and I will be happy to apologise and provide a correction to my original post.

Legally, he can't be--if he worked for Stencyl, he's forced to say that.

I was just joking
I just noticed that everything you said about Stencyl was positive, nothing negative... at all.

Wait... If you're not working for stencyl, then why don't you have ANY projects and these are your only two posts?

Because he stated he teaches programming.
He probably uses the forums without posting quite often and saw this and like Stencyl.

These are my only two posts because I have only just joined the forums! Although I have used Scratch to teach, I don't use it for my own projects; I code Flash games using AS3 (and more recently Stencyl).
With regards to the other comment about only posting positive comments, I was specifically responding to two incorrect pieces of information about Stencyl that I thought would put off people who might be thinking about learning to use it. It wasn't a list of benefits and disadvantages of each product. I was searching for information about Stencyl and it brought me to this forum and, as I have used both Scratch and Stencyl, I thought I'd log in and make a contribution.
Of course, Stencyl has it's faults like all software (e.g. bugs, ease of use of some parts of the product), but I doubt this is the right place to go into great detail about that sort of thing; Stencyl has its own forums.
Back to the original point of this thread; the archery game is a great start and it could turn into a fun game if you added music, sound effects and some more challenges. You could also add some enemies which deflect the arrows if you fire at the wrong time.

I'm simply against stencyl because it doesn't really teach you to program... just has unneccesary stuff like weight and collision and stuff...
