I was about 3-4th yesterday, but now I've dropped down the list
Remember, this isn't a popularity contest but a choice of who you think would make a good mod.
Good luck to everyone though

No kidding. It seemed to work fine for me when J0j2 used it to hold a moderator election. But now it's slower than a snail. Hmm, 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM and still loading....

As Dream-Caster suggested, maybe increase of the candidate list might be the problem. Anyway, 10:00 PM here, I'm giving up. Perhaps I'll try voting when I'm back at school - the school computers and internet connection are much faster there.

I find it unfair that people like penguinsrock and some others, are bribing people into voting for them and doing other things that are completely unrelated to being a moderator. I thought everyone was running solely to help the Scratch community. Instead, it seems, that some of the candidates are sort of trying to become a moderator to get popular, by offering free art requests. People that aren't even active in the forums might vote for someone just to get something from some Scratcher they hardly know about, because of these campaigns. I hope they are reading the speeches, and voting who they really think should be a moderator.

I'm 8th? That's actually kind of good because I used to be 9th.

Well, the Scratch Team is only looking into this a guide rather than as an official election. Other factors take into account too (such as the past actions of the candidate) and the Scratch Team has asked us current moderators about our suggestions as to who would make a good TBG moderator.
And you certainly bring up those good points: it seems to be unfair to bribe people into voting for a certain member, or that the voting may turn into a popularity contest, isn't it?
----------
Some questions for thought :
- What are the things you look for in a TBG forum moderator?
- What are some of the reasons for choosing one candidate over another?
- Do you think that the speeches and campaigns of all candidates are true and fair? If not, what are some ways to make this a fair election?

Although voting it this way might mean people won't neccecarily choose people that are good for the job, if everybody was smart enough to make the right opinion, than there practically would be no voting, because everybody would have the same answer, right?

No, everybody has different opinion, on what right is, so it would still be different

Well, right should be an active member, a clean, mature member, and traits like that. Someone who uses incorrect grammar in every post and makes rude remarks should not be a moderator just because he/she is popular.
